Why?

Well I am believer in that we all can do a little to help those around us and often that is something that is or was connected to us at sometime somehow.

We now have over 3,900 homeless in Dublin!

In October 2012, I did a walk in the Sahara for the Peter McVerry Trust.  You can see my past blog on that escapade as www.redmondol.com/sahara (Then there was 2,375 homeless in Dublin)

An explanation of Why the Camino ?, is on my current charity page:  https://www.justgiving.com/RedCamino

This is in aid of the Dublin Simon Community, specificially for their Health & Wellbeing service aims to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of Dublin Simon service users, staff and volunteers through a combination of exercise, healthy eating and relaxation options. The main services offered include personal training sessions, boxing classes, relaxation groups and health groups. Groups from Health and Wellbeing have taken part in several fitness events in the last two years including the Operation Transformation 5km runs in both Dublin and Cork and the Great Ireland Run, as well as participating in Simon events such as the Fun Run and Community Day.
